According to authorities here, presently Salem got 2 tonnes of onions through Tamil Nadu Cooperative Marketing Federation that was acquired from National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India Limited. The onions are offered to the general public through the self-service centre of Ponni wholesale shop near old bus stand and Farm Fresh outlet at Palapatti. Authorities stated a client would be offered just one kg at 45 and it was offered just to the general public. They stated they were anticipating more loads in the coming days.

In Namakkal, the authorities stated they had actually positioned orders for 20 tonnes of onions and they were anticipating shipment in a couple of days. It would be offered to the general public through co-operative outlets and Amma mini marts.
